GroupTogether Gift Voucher Review
Christmas is coming fast, as well as a few birthday celebrations and it’s the end of school year. Time to do some serious thinking about gifts for teachers, family and friends. Created by two Sydney Mums GroupTogether makes it so much easier to purchase a gift as a group.
Recently I had a (big) birthday and was gifted a GroupTogether gift voucher. It wasn’t the first time I’d heard about GroupTogether. In recent months our son’s cricket team used GroupTogether to gift and say thank you to our much loved cricket coach. I’m sharing my honest thoughts on GroupTogether from both a contributor and recipient point of view.
Contributing to GroupTogether
It was the end of my son’s cricket season and everyone was discussing how to thank our enthusiastic much-loved coach. A parent who kindly opted to be the gift organiser, chose a GroupTogether voucher. They sent the team parents a link within a group chat to click on. From here I found it easy to click and access a shared digital gift card. Entering our son’s name and personal heartfelt message to his coach was straightforward. There was also the option to add a photo or fun image if you want to. Following on there was the choice to contribute to the gift, which was done seamlessly via the same link. It was lovely to see all the kids messages on the coaches card which can be printed or downloaded as a keepsake by the recipient.
Receiving GroupTogether
When I was presented my lovely generous group gift voucher at my birthday celebration, I recognised GroupTogether straight away. The voucher code and website as well as the amount were on the card, along with a print out of all my friends messages , photos and cute pictures. I was blown away.
Using the GroupTogether voucher was easy. I looked up the website provided and browsed though the 100+ retailers where I could spend my voucher. After much deliberation I decided on a luxurious silk pillowcase from Country Road. On the GroupTogether website you can choose how much of your total voucher you would like to convert to a specific brand voucher. I opted to convert the price of the pillowcase to a Country Road voucher and purchased online at Country Road. With the remainder of the voucher I found a stylish bag and matching wallet in David Jones. I was able to log in to GroupTogether with the code and website details I’d taken with me to the shops. Then converted the remainder of my voucher to David Jones and spent the voucher in-store. Now I have the perfect practical keepsakes from my big birthday celebration.
Organising GroupTogether
My friend who organised my birthday GroupTogether voucher said she finds it really straightforward to organise and a stress-free way of asking people to contribute to a group gift. She said it’s the only way she organises a group gift now whether it is school, friend or family related.
Our Verdict
GroupTogether vouchers are an easy stress free option for organising a group gift of any kind. As a recipient I loved having the digital card print-out to keep forever as a memory of my big birthday. I found it easy to convert the voucher to the retailers of my choice. Using the vouchers both online at Country Road and in-store at David Jones posed no problems whatsoever.
