Recently for my birthday, I was a very happy recipient of a GroupTogether gift voucher. Based on my personal experience I think this is the perfect, easy to organise teacher gift. Started by two Sydney Mums GroupTogether was created to solve the problem of organising group gifts. In the case of a teacher gift, one parent creates the card and gift collection. They then share a link around and everyone adds messages and photos to the card online. Parents can also choose to chip in for the gift or can simply just sign the card. The teacher gets the joy of a heartfelt card from the whole class.

In addition to the lovely card, most parents gift the AnyCard voucher where the teacher gets to choose from a 100+ eGift Cards. Teacher Gift Survey Findings
GroupTogether recently conducted an online survey about teacher gifting with 143 respondents from Australia. Their key findings included 88.1% of teachers prefer one class gift over individual gifts. Top voted was a gift card at 69.23% and greeting card 17.5%. For your reference on what to avoid, bottom of the list was “World’s Best Teacher” merchandise and mugs or reusable coffee cups. There’s only so many coffee cups one teacher can have. As an FYI the average amount chipped in per child was $26. Even if 20 kids in the class contribute, you can see how this adds up to one truly impactful gift for the teacher.
A Heartfelt Card and Gift
A giftcard from the whole class to purchase a heartfelt keepsake and a card that each child signs is what teachers will treasure. GroupTogether makes it super easy to do both of these all in one. Our Verdict
What I liked as a recipient of a GroupTogether gift voucher was the endless options on where to purchase a keepsake from my whole group of friends. The AnyCard voucher total amount can be split between as many retailers as you like. I was very happy with my purchase of a silk pillowcase from Country Road and a handbag from David Jones. I found it easy to log in with the code provided and to organise the digital cards on my phone to spend in store or online. I’ve also been asked to contribute to a GroupTogether as a thank you to our son’s cricket coach. Likewise I found it was quick and easy to sign the card in a unique and fun way. I also found it easy to contribute to the gift via clicking on the link provided by the parent organising it.
