The Shorehouse

Your Boys & Mine Verdict:

The Shorehouse is the perfect kid-friendly restaurant to celebrate a special occasion with the whole family. The food is a little bit on the expensive side, but we felt it was worth every cent as our dining experience was flawless. Delicious food, great service and a stunning location!

We recommend you time your dinner in with sunset, as the view of the sunset on the ocean is amazing! Alternatively have breakfast, lunch or simply just a coffee and a babycino with your little ones, followed by a play at the foreshore playground or beach.

The Shorehouse is a beautiful Hamptons style restaurant, perched on a hill overlooking the ocean at Swanbourne. Seating is available either on the outside deck or at tables or booths inside.

We managed to walk in with no reservation on a week night, however we would suggest making a reservation in advance.

Our boys had a kids meal each consisting of grilled fish and chips, a vanilla milkshake for dessert and a juice. The fish was very fresh and well presented and both of our boys ate all of their meal with no complaints!

We can definitely recommend the blue swimmer crab and shellfish orecchiette for a main meal. The smaller entree size was sufficient for my mother-in-law. We ordered the cheese platter for dessert and it was delicious. There is a great wine list with an impressive selection of by the glass options. The ambience was amazing and the service excellent.
